Terms of Service

Services offered

Sunshine Coast Pet Sitting provides overnight in-home pet sitting (up to 5 nights; on-site hours typically 5pm to 7am; -/night), dog walks (~30 minutes; ), and house drop-in visits (~30 minutes; ). Service area: Gibsons to Sechelt, BC. Boarding is not offered.

Booking & deposit

• Bookings are accepted within the next 3 months
• New overnight clients: 25% of the stay, $75 minimum / $250 maximum, applied to the invoice. Refundable with 7+ days' notice. Returning clients are usually exempt once we've built trust.
• Returning overnight clients: no deposit is required
• A complimentary meet & greet is required before the first booking

Cancellation policy

• Overnight stays: 7+ days’ notice — deposit refunded; 3–6 days’ notice — deposit retained; under 3 days’ notice — 50% of the stay.
• Walks & drop-ins: 24 hours’ notice, or the visit is billed.

Payment

Payment is due upon completion of services. E-transfer and cash are accepted. Invoices are provided upon request.

Client responsibilities

• Provide accurate pet health, behaviour, and care information
• Ensure pets are up to date on vaccinations where applicable
• Provide emergency veterinary contact information
• Disclose any cameras, home restrictions, or special instructions

Pet suitability

If your pet cannot be left alone for up to 8 hours a day on weekdays, overnight in-home sitting with this schedule may not be the right fit. This will be discussed during the meet & greet.

Liability

Ocea Whyte carries appropriate care and diligence in providing pet sitting services. Clients are responsible for disclosing known behavioural or health risks. Emergency veterinary decisions will be made in the pet's best interest with owner contact attempted as soon as possible.
