# Sunshine Coast Pet Sitting

> Locally owned, women-owned pet care on the Sunshine Coast, BC (Gibsons to Sechelt / Roberts Creek). Owner Ocea Whyte (Oh-sha). Private on-leash dog walks (~30 min), house drop-in visits (~30 min), and overnight in-home stays of 5 nights or under (5pm-7am when booked). Trusted Coast walkers under SCPS may cover daytime walks; Ocea handles overnights. Direct booking - no platform fees.

## Booking

New clients: use the contact form at https://sunshinecoastpetsitting.ca/contact or email ocea@sunshinecoastpetsitting.ca. A complimentary meet & greet at home is included before the first booking.

Existing clients: sign in to the client portal at https://sunshinecoastpetsitting.ca/portal to submit care requests, view bookings, and update pet care instructions.

## Policies

- New client deposit: 25% of the overnight stay ($75 minimum / $250 maximum), applied to the invoice. Refundable with 7+ days’ notice. Returning clients are usually exempt once trust is built.
- Cancellation: walks & drop-ins need 24 hours’ notice or the visit is billed. Overnights: 7+ days’ notice — deposit refunded; 3–6 days — deposit retained; under 3 days — 50% of the stay.
- Overnights are handled exclusively by Ocea. Vetted Coast walkers may cover daytime walks or drop-ins.
- Maximum 5 nights per overnight booking. Longer stays by arrangement.
- Payment: Interac e-Transfer (preferred) or cash. Invoices provided.

## FAQ

Q: Do you do a meet & greet before the first booking?
A: Yes, always. A complimentary in-home meet & greet is included so your pet can get comfortable with me before care starts.

Q: Will the same person always care for my pet?
A: Ocea handles all overnight stays personally. For daytime walks and drop-ins, a vetted Coast walker may help when schedules are full — you'll always know who is coming.

Q: Can you give my pet medication?
A: Yes. Ocea has experience administering oral medications, eye/ear drops, and insulin from working at the BC SPCA.

Q: What updates will I receive?
A: A photo and brief notes are sent after every visit or walk.

Q: What if there's a pet emergency?
A: Your emergency vet contact is on file. In an emergency, Ocea will contact the vet immediately and then reach you.

Q: How do I pay?
A: Interac e-Transfer is preferred. Cash is also accepted. An itemized invoice is provided.

Q: What's included in an overnight stay?
A: Ocea stays in your home from approximately 5 pm to 7 am. Evenings and mornings follow your pet's usual routine — feeding, walks, play, medication, and bedtime.

Q: Do you handle anxious or reactive dogs?
A: Yes. Ocea has experience with shy, anxious, and reactive animals from her time at the BC SPCA.
